Barcelona

Hola!

We have arrived in Barcelona, Spain.

Out of all the places we've been so far (zero), Barcelona is definitely our favourite. Our first impressions were that the people here are very relaxed. We swear the immigration officer didn't even look at our passport pictures and just waved us into the country.

The city is massive with thousands of little side streets boasting different sites and tapas bars (Dom is in heaven). The architecture is sthunning.

The coastline is an incredible sight with many bars, marinas and beaches with crystal clear water. We got a sense that there were quite a few topless Spanish women around, but of course we didn't look...

We decided to hire bikes today so we could cover more ground since the city was so huge. We booked for 2 hour hire, but ended up taking 5 hours getting lost down side streets and down the beach boardwalk. Pete came off the ride second best and now looks like a roasted capsicum.

The Spanish tend to free pour their drinks here. After ordering 2 scotch and cokes, half the bottle was gone. The beer and sangria also come in fairly large glasses.

Tomorrow we are going to have a go at driving a little 3-wheel buggy around the streets to Camp Nou (Barcelona soccer stadium). Hopefully we can adapt to driving on the wrong side of the road sooner rather than later!

We will upload more photos into the album on the right ---> tomorrow.

That's all for now, we are off to go have a siesta.

Buenos noches.

PS. Hello to Uncy B, Dianna, Nicole, Uncle Caesar, Age, El Naturale` (manto), Brunswick and all others who have posted comments. We love them. Don't forget to leave your name every now and then though so we know who is posting!
